Jakarta Concert Orchestra (JCO) was founded in 2002 by Avip Priatna Mag. Art and Prof. Dr. Toeti Heraty Roosseno. Made up of professional musicians from various cities in Indonesia, the Jakarta Concert Orchestra has held a number of concerts featuring world and Indonesian works. The Jakarta Concert Orchestra also often presents symphonic vocal works with Batavia Madrigal Singers & The Resonanz Children’s Choir.
Jakarta Concert Orchestra collaborates with Indonesian & international artists and holds regular concerts. The Jakarta Concert Orchestra has an educational role, namely to develop public appreciation of classical music, become a place for developing the quality of musicians, and become a medium that introduces the work of Indonesian composers.
