Approaching the end of 2020, we will once again enjoy another beautiful orchestra performance by Jakarta Concert Orchestra ! This time Avip Priatna, music director and conductor of JCO, will perform a concert, entitled “DUA + QUATRE “, performing 2 new “world premieres” by young Indonesian composers, and four compositions by French well known composers with music transcriptions by Indonesian arrangers.

The reason in choosing compositions by great French composers such as Claude Debussy, Maurice Ravel, Francis Poulenc and Gabriel Fauré is because they have never been played in Indonesia in the formation of a small orchestra, and the scores were mostly written for large orchestras or choir accompanied by piano. Furthermore, JCO hasn’t ever performed “French Night” concert previously.
